I'm raising this fundraiser for my son, Wyatt, after a bicycle accident on his tenth birthday changed everything for our family. He was first taken to the Emergency Room in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and then airlifted by helicopter to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. Since then, Wyatt has been fighting through serious injuries and a very painful recovery.

Wyatt has damage to his duodenum, which is causing a blockage to his small intestine. Right now, he has two drain bags, a feeding tube, and a drainage tube in his nose. He is in a lot of pain, and he is facing a second surgery within five days to see if doctors can fix the damage. We have been told to expect at least five weeks in the hospital and about six months of recovery after that.

My wife has been at the hospital every day by Wyatt's side. I had to leave for four days to work, but I cannot work remotely, and my wife can only do a little work from the hospital. My family needs me here with them, but being away from work has created real financial strain at the same time we are trying to focus on Wyatt and his recovery.

The funds from this fundraiser will help pay for Wyatt's medical bills, future medication, and treatments related to his injuries and recovery.
