Hello friends of Adam, Lisa, Madison, and Wyatt,
It’s hard to believe I’m sitting here writing to you again. The Moore family has endured more than most, yet through it all they have remained strong, anchored by their faith and by the love of those around them.
I won’t bury the lead: the Moore family will need help over the next six months. Lisa will be out of work to care for Wyatt and to manage the extensive travel and proposed treatment ahead.
I have started this fundraiser to support the Moore family as Wyatt begins his fight against cancer. Many of you stepped up in an extraordinary way during Adam’s fight with COVID, and so many have reached out asking how you can help this family right now. Since Adam’s passing, Lisa has carried the unimaginable—raising two wonderful children while navigating profound loss with grace and strength.
Just one week ago, the family was dealt another devastating blow.
Wyatt, 17, a junior in high school, began experiencing leg pain—something that could easily have been dismissed as growing pains or soreness from being an active teenage athlete. Unfortunately, it was much more than that.
An MRI revealed this was not a routine knee injury. The radiologist identified a large mass inside the distal femur (the lower part of the thigh bone near the knee). Based on its size, location, and aggressive features, it was highly suggestive of a bone tumor, with osteosarcoma as the leading concern.
Wyatt was referred to UF Health Shands, where orthopedic oncology confirmed the diagnosis. He has already begun chemotherapy and will undergo surgery using cutting-edge, limb-sparing techniques, followed by additional chemotherapy. This treatment plan is focused on one thing: saving his life.
The road ahead will be long and demanding—physically, emotionally, and financially. Funds raised will help cover lost income, travel, lodging, meals, medical-related expenses, and everyday needs so Lisa can focus fully on caring for Wyatt during this fight.
I will share updates here as Wyatt’s journey continues. Lisa will also be posting updates through CaringBridge for those who would like to follow along more closely.

Thank you for loving this family, for lifting them up in prayer, and for standing with them once again during an incredibly difficult chapter.
