Our hearts are shattered. Yesterday, 13-year-old Wyatt, a middle school student at L’Anse Creuse Middle School North, and his loving mother Amber were involved in a devastating head-on collision on Groesbeck Highway. Tragically, Amber lost her life in the accident. Amber was a devoted single mother who loved her children more than anything. She worked tirelessly to provide for them and was their constant source of love, strength, and support.
Wyatt is currently in critical care at Children’s Hospital in Detroit. He has suffered two broken legs, a broken femur, broken ribs, a broken jaw, internal bleeding, and a brain bleed. He is facing multiple surgeries and an incredibly long road to recovery. Wyatt’s sister, Olivia, was thankfully not in the vehicle at the time of the accident and was safe with a friend. While we are so grateful she was spared physically, she is now facing the unimaginable loss of her mother and watching her brother fight for his life. No child should have to endure this kind of heartbreak.
We are raising funds to help cover Wyatt’s extensive medical expenses, future rehabilitation, funeral costs for Amber, and to support both Wyatt and Olivia as they navigate life without their mother. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward their care and the many unexpected financial burdens this tragedy has created. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Wyatt, Olivia, and their family in your prayers. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, and support during this unimaginable time. It truly means more than words can express.
