Support Wren's Recovery after Freak Accident
Donation protected
Our good friend Wren recently endured a terrifying accident on the Marine Parkway bridge in Brooklyn. A fighting kite string whipped across the bridge, slicing open her hand and face and slashing her friend's throat. While Wren’s injuries were, thankfully, not life-threatening, the string severed bone, muscle, and ligaments in two fingers and she will likely never recover full functionality in her right hand. She will also likely need more surgery to address cut and non-functional nerves and muscle in her face.
She now faces a long road to recovery and ongoing physical therapy. The emotional and physical toll of this experience has been immense, and the financial burden is making it even harder for her to focus on healing.
Despite having health insurance, Wren is now dealing with significant medical bills from her emergency room visit, surgeries, and follow-up care. These unexpected costs have become a major source of stress and worry, just when she needs to concentrate on getting better. Wren is someone who rarely asks for help, always putting her friends and community first. Now, she needs support to get through this difficult time.
Your contribution will help cover the costs of Wren’s surgery, medical bills, and therapy, allowing her to focus on her recovery without the added weight of financial strain. Any support you can offer will make a real difference in helping Wren heal and return to her daily life.
