Support Wrayven & Maddie during Health & Financial Crisis
Donation protected
Wrayven (they/them) and Maddie (she/her) have been facing one health emergency after another over the past few months. The resulting chaos has greatly affected all aspects of their health, well-being, and finances.
Since October 2024, Wrayven (age 37) has been hospitalized four times, each visit resulting in a different (often major) surgery. The complications started in October as severe diverticulitis and two large abscesses in Wrayven's colon. Surgeons removed part of their colon and placed a colostomy bag. However, to everyone’s shock, doctors discovered cancer in the removed section of Wrayven’s colon.
Between last October & January ‘25, Wrayven spent the majority of their time in the hospital, while doctors investigated their complex medical case. After an extended recovery, they began chemotherapy for colon cancer in February 2025 - while still working full time and taking online classes.
On February 10th, everything took a terrifying turn. Wrayven woke up with severe abdominal pain that included convulsions, loss of limb control, and debilitating nausea. Maddie rushed them to the ER, where doctors found a bowel obstruction that had dangerously lowered their potassium to a near-fatal levels. The pain was so severe that Wrayven began hallucinating & experiencing delusions in the hours it took for an operating room to become available for an emergency exploratory surgery.
Surgeons found that scar tissue from the original diverticulitis had caused a kink in Wrayven’s intensities, leading to the obstruction. As of February 11th, Wrayven is currently recovering from this second major surgery. They have been instructed to take at least three more weeks off of work, after which they will ease back into half-days as needed - then resume chemotherapy.
After three months of chemo, they will undergo yet another major surgery to reverse the colostomy and then can finally begin putting their life back together.
Throughout all this, Maddie has been their rock—devotedly caring for Wrayven, taking them to every doctor's appointment, providing financial support when possible, and visiting them every single day in the hospital. From October-January, Maddie never missed a single day by their side.

INSURANCE COMPLICATIONS:
Despite having insurance, Wrayven is having to pay off their deductible for both 2024 and 2025 simultaneously, while also facing countless other medical costs. Even with the slowest payment plan, the expenses have become overwhelming for both Maddie & Wrayven.
Their financial situation is simply not sustainable, and they need immediate support to stay afloat.
