Support Worship Band's Journey to TN

Donation protected
Hello, I'm Scott with The Bridge Worship House in Kalispell, Montana. We help connect worshipers with worship teams in the Flathead Valley.

Recently, we were asked to bring worship and teaching to the AMPLIFY Youth Conference in Dyersburg, TN on May 31st, 2025. Our worship band felt called to do this and has agreed to donate our time to go and support this event; however, we still need to get plane tickets, transportation on the ground, and accommodations.

Any support you can provide would be welcome. We will need both prayer and financial support.

On April 12th, 2025, we will be holding a Valley Wide Worship Night so that you can meet the band and worship with us. 6:30 pm at the Community Room, 2510 U.S. Highway 2 East, Kalispell, Montana.

Our Story

I received a phone call one afternoon from my friend Caleb. Caleb recently moved back home to TN after attending the Canvas School of Ministry. As a part of Caleb's local ministry, he was the worship leader at the Whitefish Nazarene Church, and that's how we connected. I was curious about the phone call because I had not heard from Caleb since he left Montana months ago.

Caleb has a real burden for the local church where he grew up. He described to me the needs of the kids in the area and the church culture in the "Bible Belt." He learned so much about the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in his ministry school, and he felt like his home culture was missing the full expression of the Trinity. Many times, he felt like all of the focus was on sin and how to overcome it through discipline, but not about the fullness of an active, loving relationship with God that included one-on-one communication through the Holy Spirit.

Our job at the Bridge Worship House is to provide a worship setting that allows the Holy Spirit to do the heavy lifting. Frankly, we just need to get out of the way. God is the one who calls, He is the one that speaks, and He is the one that desires more than ever for these kids to hear His voice. But, if we are presenting to these kids a message of sin, discipline, fire, brimstone, and judgment, then where in that is the relationship? Where is mercy, hope, and love?

Back to the phone call... Caleb told me about what kicked this thing off. Caleb's dad had a vision when he was on the road driving his truck home from work. It was so powerful, and on top of that, he heard the voice of God for the first time in his life. God said to him, "You need to have an event for middle school and high school kids and let them know that I love them." He was so blown away, sharing this with Caleb. Then he revealed that God also wanted him to fund the cost of the event on the ground. That was huge because Caleb's dad is a business owner and is pinching pennies to get by in this economy. The costs of renting the fairgrounds, hiring a sound and lighting company, finding the right worship team and conference speakers, as well as advertising, were piling up. When Caleb called me, his dad could cover the cost for the plane tickets for three of the band members, but not for the other two. At that point, I didn't even know if I could say yes, but I put it to prayer. If this thing was supposed to happen, all of those ducks would line right up.

My first phone call was to Marty Meyer. She is an amazing vocalist and conference speaker. Her husband Tim is also a worship leader and acoustic guitar player. Tim was at a men's retreat when I called, but Marty was blown away. The night before, the Lord had told her that an opportunity was going to present itself very soon for her to speak and worship, and she needed to say yes. So, as fast as I told her about it, she said yes, and she said, "Tim is in too!" I contacted Ron Reeves, our bass player, and Jim VanGilder, our keyboard player, and they were a quick yes as well. We had a full team, but not funding yet. But we all had faith that God was up to something and wanted to bring this particular band with this particular expression of worship all the way from Montana to Tennessee.

The team has turned into a larger team, with 5 members from Montana integrating with 4 members in TN. The Amplify Youth Conference will start at 11:30 am Saturday, May 31st, and run until 9:00 pm. We fly in on Thursday night and fly out early Monday morning. Please keep us in your prayers.

An additional need that just popped up. We need a video screen to project the words to the songs on. Because it's in the bright light of day, outside in an amphitheater, we will need to rent a video wall. $3,000 rental. Contact me if you feel called to help with that one specifically.
