Who Will Go for Us?

We need your help to send Evangelist Joey Perez—a former gang leader and drug dealer radically transformed by Jesus Christ—to bring hope, salvation, and free books telling of his story to some of the most broken, crime-ridden streets in the U.S, prisons and gang infested schools.

The Mission

URGENT NEED. This summer and fall, Evangelist Joey Perez will conduct over 30 street outreach meetings, ministering with a 12 member band he is hosting from Puerto Rico, Sons of Faith, and giving away free books, I Lived to Tell About It & Mysteries of Angels, plus free food and free clothing in Philadelphia PA, Allentown PA, and Camden NJ. These are all areas plagued by gangs, drugs, and violence.

Then in the Fall and into 2026, Evang. Perez will be preaching in Benner SCI Prison in PA and in multiple prisons in North Carolina & Puerto Rico along with speaking to youth about gangs in juvenile homes and "at risk" schools and giving away his book. He also speaks at evangelistic crusades hosted by churches who help sponsor books.

But he needs more BOOKS printed!

The urgent need is to print 25,000 more copies of his book, I Lived to Tell About It, to give away in all these areas this year along with the finances to host the 12 member band, Sons of Faith, which includes airfares, lodging, food, and a van for transportation to all these areas. In addition, there is a need for a new stage and sound equipment and printing of flyers to saturate the area inviting people to come.

This anointed band, Sons of Faith, fills the streets with Christian salsa music which draws people out of their homes, along with the free food and free clothes, to hear Evangelist Perez share his powerful testimony and the Gospel. We have seen sometimes 100 people a night or more come to the altar to be saved from these streets meetings!

Following up with the free books, I Lived to Tell About It, and Mysteries of Angels, with the details of his radical conversion and what followed, also leads to salvations and transformations. They can relate to what Joey Perez went through and only the power of Christ could have delivered him!

Also in the prisons many men read his book before they attend his meetings and get saved and delivered through his testimony, coming up in tears to the altar for prayer! He speaks their language!

And in the "at risk" schools, he speaks about his story and the dangers of gang life. Many schools even allow the students to use his book for book reports and their lives are changed~!

Every $10 donated goes toward printing free copies of Evang. Joey Perez's books, I Lived to Tell About It, and Mysteries of Angels to be given away at a street meeting, a prison, a problematic school or an evangelistic crusade and provides the funds to send him there.

At a recent street meeting, one of the most vicious drug lords in Puerto Rico came forward and gave his life to Christ! In another area in PR, Evang. Perez had to get permission from 3 drug lords to do the meetings in their territories. Miraculously, the drug dealers gave permission only because some of their workers read Evang. Perez’s book in prison and that’s why they let him in! As a result many people got saved! God is good!

This ministry is not just preaching; it’s being the hands and feet of Jesus!

THE STORY: Who is Evangelist Joey Perez?

Evang. Joey Perez's story is nothing short of miraculous. Born into a family practicing witchcraft with 10 children and enduring horrific abuse—including being chained by the neck by his father in a basement for 3 days at age 12—Joey Perez became a feared gang leader and drug dealer in the Midtown Zulu Nation gang in Philadelphia.

He survived over 15 near-death experiences, including one incident of being stabbed 17 times without being injured, and lived to tell about it. In prison, he had an angelic encounter, then later while planning to kill 17 people, God called him by name 3 times and supernaturally led him to Christ, radically saving him and changing his life forever. It is a GOD story the world needs to hear!

For the last 46 years, Evangelist Joey Perez has dedicated his life to evangelism, preaching in prisons, schools, streets, and crusades—giving away his books and telling his story through many radio and TV interviews nationally and internationally including The 700 Club, and CTN. God has used him to reach millions of hurting people where they are with the love and power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In one year alone, partnering with The 700 Club’s Operation Blessing, it was reported that over 80,000 people got saved in street meetings, schools and city-wide Thanksgiving and Christmas Outreaches in Philadelphia and Bethlehem, PA. To God be the glory!

Also, Evangelist Joey Perez and his wife Damaris are Pastors at their church, Worldwide Evangelistic Ministries, 6341 Keystone Street, Philadelphia, PA 19135, where these yearly Thanksgiving and Christmas Outreaches take place, giving away free turkey dinners, clothes and toys while sharing the Gospel. Many are saved and anyone is welcome to attend weekly for teaching and discipleship.
