Last fall, 1600 workers at Apple supplier Lumileds electronics voted overwhelmingly to certify their union in the face of an intense anti-union campaign by the Apple supplier.
Migrant workers were told that they would lose their jobs and be kicked out of their housing and forced to return to their home countrie.
Workers were told that the factory would close if they voted for the union.
But over 2/3 stood up to these illegal tactics and voted yes.
Since the, the Netherlands-based Apple supplier has refused to recognize the union and filed various law suits in an effort to avoid dealing with its workers.
Now they have started firing the union leaders.
Khairul was one of these leaders.
He has been fired for trumped up reasons to punish him for his role in garnering the support of the hundreds of migrant workers working in the plants.
Khairul and the rest of the workers won't give up. We need to support him. Please give generously.
