At Word of Hope Inc., we believe that every neighbor—regardless of status, language, or nation of origin—is of infinite value before God. This conviction, born out of the words of Christ and rooted in the radical love of the Gospel, drives our mission.
We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving immigrants through affordable, compassionate legal services and equipping local churches to do the same. We are currently undergoing the rigorous Department of Justice Recognition and Accreditation process to begin offering authorized immigration legal assistance. This GoFundMe campaign is an invitation for you to join us at a critical stage of our development—helping us meet essential startup costs, sustain operations during this waiting period, and prepare to open our doors the moment our approval is finalized.
As C.S. Lewis once said, “Next to the Blessed Sacrament itself, your neighbor is the holiest object presented to your senses.” At Word of Hope, we take that seriously. Founded in October 2024 through the faith and tireless work of Nora Hodne, and shaped by two decades of bilingual, cross-cultural marriage within the largest immigrant metro area in the country, Word of Hope was born out of lived experience and deep conviction: that the Kingdom of God advances not through comfort, but through costly love.
We believe the church is called not only to charity, but to justice. To not only offer mercy, but to walk with the immigrant as Christ walks with us—patiently, truthfully, and with power. As Paul wrote in Galatians 5:13, “through love, serve one another.”
