Support Woof Gang Employees After Hurricane Helene

Dear Woof Gang Family and Animal Lovers,

Jaime & Will Coley, owners of Woof Gang Bakery & Grooming in Asheville, Bluffton & Hilton Head here. We are relieved to report that as of this posting, all of our employees in AVL are safe. We’re reaching out to you with heavy hearts as we face the aftermath of Hurricane Helene in Asheville, NC. Our incredible team of dedicated employees—clerks, pet groomers, and animal lovers—have been devastatingly affected by the storm. Many of them have suffered significant losses, both personally and financially, and they need our help now more than ever.

These employees are not just the faces you see when you bring your beloved pets in for grooming or to pick up their favorite treats; they are good people with families who genuinely care about their clients and their furbabies. They have devoted their time and energy to making our community feel like home, and now they are facing the daunting challenges of recovery from this catastrophic event.

Despite the destruction caused by the hurricane and our offers to move them to SC temporarily, our team has insisted on staying to support their neighbors during this overwhelmingly difficult time. They are working tirelessly to assist in disaster relief efforts, helping fellow residents salvage what they can and running supplies to those in need. Their selflessness and compassion truly embody the spirit of our community.

However, the road to recovery will not be easy. 100% of the funds raised will go directly to our staff. Many of our employees are now grappling with:

- Significant Property Damage: Some have lost their homes or had severe damage due to flooding. This will require costly repairs and financial support they currently cannot afford.

- Loss of Income: With the salon temporarily closed, our team members are facing an uncertain financial future. They rely on their paychecks to support their families, and the loss of income is an immense burden.

- Increased Living Expenses: As they navigate the recovery process, many will face additional costs for temporary housing, food, and childcare, which can add up quickly.

We are asking for your help. No contribution is too small—every dollar makes a difference. If you can, please consider chipping in just $5 or whatever you can spare to support our team. Your generosity will go directly to helping these dedicated employees recover from this disaster and rebuild their lives, and in turn, continue helping their community.

We are also taking supply donations at Woof Gang Hilton Head and Woof Gang Bluffton to personally take up to Asheville to give our employees and their neighbors. 100% of your donation will go directly to our Gang employees and if we know them- to their friends, family, animals and neighbors in need. It's a supportive, loving community in Asheville filled with amazing people. The stories we have heard, both of grief and joy, have moved us to tears many times over the past few days.
