Woodstock High School’s Student Film Festival students are passionate about storytelling and filmmaking. This year, they have set their sights on submitting their work to seven separate film festivals, with the ultimate goal of making it to the Atlanta Film Festival. The Atlanta Film Festival’s mission is to educate and engage audiences within the creative industry by supporting artists and providing a platform for their work. For these students, participating in the festival means not only showcasing their films but also gaining opportunities to meet and attend in-person dialogue with filmmakers, providing meaningful chances to network, interact, and engage with audiences, artists, and industry professionals. This experience will foster artistic growth, discovery, and a deeper understanding of the film and media arts, both locally and worldwide.

The equipment provided by the school doesn’t fully meet the level the students are aiming for, and they want to make this project high-quality for everyone involved. The funds raised will be used for lighting, camera gear, and other production tools needed to film professionally. Any leftover funds will go toward food and basic catering for the students working on set. The goal is to create the best films possible while taking good care of the team. With your help, these students will gain valuable learning opportunities and hands-on experience that goes far beyond the classroom. Access to professional equipment and festival opportunities will not only improve the quality of their films but also give them the confidence and skills needed to pursue their dreams in the film industry.
