Support Woodrow's Fight Against Dog Cancer
Donation protected
Hello, friends! Woodrow, the three-legged wonder, recently had a mast cell tumor removed from his sternum. It was about the size of a prune and a biopsy discovered it was a Grade II/High Grade Mast Cell Tumor. In other words, dog cancer. Fortunately, this is not the same as human cancer, but unfortunately, it's still not good.
The veterinary oncologist has recommended we start Woodrow on systemic therapy to address the microscopic cells that are trying to metastasize further... chemo.
The chemotherapy of choice for MCTs is called vinblastine. It is given intravenously (into a vein) once weekly for 4 weeks followed by every other week treatment for another 4 treatments (8 treatments over 12 weeks).
We thought a lot about this and decided it was the best course to keep our big guy healthy. It's scary and expensive, but we know Woodrow is tough and has a lot more love to give.
We anticipate the cost to be about $4,000, and any amount you donate will go straight to that fund. We truly appreciate your love and support, and send all the good vibes you can to Woodrow!
Love,
