Support Women's Health in Kajiado, Kenya

Imagine living in a community where access to basic healthcare is a luxury, where young girls miss school every month because they cannot afford menstrual products, and where preventable diseases go undetected due to a lack of resources. This is true for many women and girls in Kajiado County, Kenya. But together, we can change this.

Entepesi Kenya (EK), a Kenyan-registered NGO, has worked tirelessly since 2021 to provide critical healthcare services to this underserved community. Through medical camps, educational workshops, and referrals to health facilities, we’ve made strides in addressing non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like hypertension, and we’ve educated the community on vital topics such as nutrition, menstruation, female genital mutilation (FGM), family planning, and mental health. However, there is still so much more to be done, especially for women and girls.

Why Women’s Health Matters:
Women’s health is at the heart of our mission. Our programs are designed to empower women and girls at every stage of life, ensuring they have the knowledge, resources, and support they need to thrive. Here’s how your support can make a difference:

Menstrual Hygiene for Students: Many girls miss school during their periods because they lack access to menstrual products. We provide pads and train teachers to support menstrual hygiene, helping girls stay in school and continue their education.

HPV Vaccination for Girls Aged 10-14: Cervical cancer is preventable, yet it remains a leading cause of death among women in Kenya. We support nurses and community health workers to ensure girls receive the HPV vaccine, protecting them from this deadly disease.

Sexual Reproductive Health Education: We educate youth and women on family planning, safe sex, gender-based violence, nutrition, and STI prevention, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health and futures.

Cervical & Breast Cancer Screening: Early detection saves lives. We train nurses to screen for cervical and breast cancer, providing life-saving services to women in rural areas.

Traditional Birth Attendant Training: We support local birth attendants to ensure safe prenatal and postnatal care for mothers and babies, including immunizations and vaccines to protect against dangerous diseases.

How You Can Help:
This June, we’re hosting medical camps with a dedicated women’s health booth, offering sexual reproductive health education, family planning methods, mental health counseling, and menstrual products to every woman and girl over the age of 10. But we can’t do it alone.

Your donation will directly fund these life-changing programs, ensuring that women and girls in Kajiado County have access to the healthcare and education they deserve. Whether it’s providing menstrual products to keep girls in school, funding HPV vaccinations, or supporting cancer screenings, every dollar makes a difference.

Join Us in Making a Difference:
Together, we can empower women and girls to lead healthier, happier lives. Your support will not only transform individual lives but also strengthen entire communities. Let’s give the women and girls of Kajiado County the chance they deserve to thrive.

Please donate today and share our story with your friends and family. Regardless of size, every contribution brings us one step closer to a healthier, brighter future for all.
