Hey there! I'm Anna K. Long, filmmaker, performer, friendly neighborhood dance teacher, and the writer/director of a new short film titled: Open Up.

This summer, my proposal for this film was awarded first place in the first round of the Fujifilm Aspiring Filmmaker Awards in collaboration with Decentralized Pictures.

So we've got a great start getting this film off the ground, but we've got a long way to go before we start principal photography on November 20th.

What's it about, you ask?

Open Up is part relationship drama, part body transformation thriller. It's a super short that asks what's the most monstrous behavior: hiding ourselves, or delivering difficult truths.

What do we need funds for?

The short answer: to pay our cast and crew!

Short films come in a million shapes and sizes in terms of budget, but our goal in raising $5000 to cover our costs is to show how we can make a lot with very little. Every dollar, every donation is crucial to providing compensation and materials to our whole team. No matter how much you can give, you're making a world of difference.
