Support Women of Vision's Journey to Hope

Donation protected
Hi, I'm Jodi and I have the honor, along with other wonderful Western MA community members, of bringing Women of Vision - Keeping the Light On: Journey to Hope, to our area from 9/21 - 9/27 - in a few weeks! Four women from Israel, two Arab and two Jewish, diverse in their origins and traditions, share their stories, songs, and art based on connecting over hope and healing in the course of 9 separate interactive presentations throughout the Connecticut River Valley in western MA and southern VT.

The women created “Women of Vision” together with a group of women of many faiths in and outside of Israel, as long-time messengers and leaders of many women's groups within and across cultures. They have embarked on a journey of transformation amid the darkness and chaos of the war. They come together to weave a new narrative of unity, promote dialogue and healing, support and empower each other and groups of all sizes through ritual, art, workshops, song and stories to bring their gifts to people across traditions and divides, and to spark a culture of peace.

We have some wonderful sponsors, yet we still need to fundraise for their food while here, and a rental car. We can and do have rides, but with bags, instruments, and art, a car to and from Western MA is critical. We also welcome meals and restaurant certificates, but cash helps these women (and us all) feel free to choose, something that is hard to do in a time of war.

Quote from Dorit, the originator of WoV: "Women of Vision is dedicated to strengthening leadership that supports Arab and Jewish women in and outside of Israel to work together. We refuse to be enemies. We hold together a vision of unity and of loving shared society. Women of Vision is looking for people to become part of this consciousness and expand the space for people walking together 'in the field beyond right and wrong.'"

Will you join me and the wonderful venue partners across Hampden, Hampshire and Franklin Counties - churches and synagogues, schools and colleges, community centers and private homes - in sharing support for their work - peace, unity, dialogue across difference? During this polarized time, war and pain, let's join to help create a beacon of light.

Any amount will help! 100% of funds go directly to the women for food and a car/gas while here.

NOTE: For all tour dates, all presenters ask that you come in peace. There is no for/against - the women are letting go of labels and searching for a new reality. New visions unfold in time. Let's surround them with our hope!

Public tour dates include (please return to site for registration - in progress): All Souls/Brattleboro Jewish Community in Brattleboro 9/21; Beit Ahavah/Bombyx workshop in Northampton 9/22; First Church of Deerfield 9/24; All Souls Greenfield - FC Interfaith Council including Temple Israel 9/25; Jewish Community Center in Springfield 9/26. Schools, colleges and other venues are private.
