Support The Good Women

In 2022, 70% of all plays performed in the UK were written by men. Yes, you've read that right. Seventy percent.

We are Lena, Sophie and Faith. We founded GoodWomenArts Ltd. to bring women's voices to the stage and provide female creatives with opportunities in theatre.

Our original play "The Good Women" is written, performed and directed by an all-female team and tells the queer love story between TV cook Bette and housewife Trudy set in 1967. We just finished our UK and Ireland tour, performing in Belfast, Dublin, Bradford and London.

It is currently a challenging time for the arts: Theatre is notoriously underfunded and touring is expensive. This is why we have set up this fundraiser to support our little theatre company and to enable us to continue our mission to provide a stage for female writers, directors, actors and other creatives.

Even a small donation makes a huge difference to artists and the community - as does sharing our fundraiser.
