Unfortunately, my friend, Wolfgang Richie Bauer, and his mom, Miriam, lost their house of 49 years in the Sunset Mesa area of Malibu, due to the Palisades fire. The loss has been overwhelming, as it has been for so many. It has been especially hard since that was Wolfgang’s childhood home.

I have known the Bauer family my whole life. We have celebrated many occasions at their home growing up. Wolf and I grew up together. We have become really close the past few years, supporting each other in our mom’s Alzheimer’s/dementia journeys. He was a support when I lost my mom. I am so devastated for them and all those who have lost their homes in the Palisades and Eaton fires.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as Wolfgang takes care of his mom.
