It is with great sadness that I share the news that my father, Witold Bialokur, passed away on November 12 at the age of 90. To honor Witold's memory, our family is dedicating a bench in Forest Park, NY. The bench will be near the paths where the team he founded over 40 years ago, Witold's Runners, one of the oldest running clubs in New York City, continues to train every week.

This bench will serve as a lasting tribute - a place to rest, stretch, reflect, and remember a man who gave so much of himself to others. It will stand as a symbol of our father's enduring impact, offering comfort to his family, teammates, and all who pause there.

In lieu of flowers, our family requests contributions be made to this Adopt-a-Bench campaign, ensuring that Witold's legacy lives on in the park he loved, and so runners may always have a place to honor the man who inspired them to keep moving forward.
