Support with Wheelchair hire costs and bills

Hi, I’m Natalie and I recently broke my ankle quite severely while competing in what was supposed to be a “friendly” Judo competition. I have a trimalleolar fracture, which means my ankle is broken in 3 places and I will need surgery. I also have extensive tendon and ligament damage.
I won’t go too much into the details of this, as the incident is currently being investigated due to the severity of the injury and lack of care and sportsmanship from the person who caused this injury.
In the meantime, I have a long recovery period ahead of me (approximately 6 months) and I will need to take at least 3 - 4 weeks off work (provided all goes well with surgery and there are no complications). So alongside the physical and mental challenges, this is unfortunately also going to affect me financially quite substantially.
This is especially hard around Christmas, and I’m really sorry I won’t be able to buy gifts for people this year. I promise I will make it up to you all ❤️
My budget was already tight before, and I’m incredibly worried how I will be able to afford my bills and rent while on Statutory sick pay.
I’ve already made efforts to remove any “luxuries” from my budget. But even then this isn’t going to be enough, so it’s with much embarrassment that I am having to ask anyone in my life to donate to what they can do I can at least survive the next month. I will also be making efforts to sell any possessions I have that could raise some money.
I wouldn’t usually ask for support in this way, but if anyone can spare even a small amount I would be forever grateful, and I will make efforts to repay you in the future when I am in a better position.
Because of this injury I am also going to need to use a wheelchair for a little while, so once my bills are paid, any funds will also be going towards hiring one. This costs £25 a week from the Red Cross and I’m expecting to need one for at least 6 weeks.
Thank you for your support and if you have any questions please feel free to reach out to me directly.
