Hi everyone,

As most of you know, my dad was hospitalized from December 18 through January 2 due to multiple abscesses in his back that were located very close to his spine. Because of their location, surgeries were required and a significant amount of tests. While we are incredibly grateful that he is now home, his recovery is ongoing.

He was discharged with a PICC line and a large amount of prescribed medication, including antibiotics that he will need to remain on through mid-February. These medications are essential to his recovery and come with significant ongoing costs, in addition to the medical bills from his extended hospitalization.

As many of you know, my mom is on disability due to the strokes she has suffered and is unable to work aside from an occasional babysitting gig. During this time, my husband and I have been supporting them, but with the added medicine expenses, it's gotten to be a lot.

On top of everything, her car was in the repair shop for an extended period, creating additional unexpected expenses.

I am creating this GoFundMe for them to help cover medical bills, prescription and medication costs, and basic living expenses as my dad continues to heal. He is of course unable to work at this time.
