Just before his 28th birthday, Chris received the heartbreaking diagnosis of lung cancer—after months of being told it was pneumonia. Not long after, he learned that he also had a separate, aggressive abdominal cancer that grew rapidly. In September, he underwent surgery to remove an eight-pound mass and spent 2 weeks in the hospital recovering. As you can imagine, this was incredibly difficult for Chris and his wife, Cassie.
A few weeks ago, Chris began experiencing worsening symptoms. After returning to the hospital, scans revealed significant tumor progression, and surgery was no longer an option.
Chris’s doctors described his cancer as the most aggressive they had ever seen. Yet through it all, Chris fought like a fierce warrior—always more concerned about the well-being of others than his own pain. Cassie was always by his side every step of the way of this horrible journey.
On the morning of October 31st, Chris passed away—on their fourth dating anniversary. He fought so hard to make it to that day.
Many have asked how to offer support during this heartbreaking time. Donations will help cover medical expenses, funeral costs, loss of income, and other needs.
Please surround Cassie and the entire family in prayer and keep them close in your hearts.
Thank you for all the love and support.
