Please Help Support With Medical and Home Help

Hi, my name is Jason and I am fundraising to help with my life with medical and financial.

Around September 2023 I saw my local doctor with abdominal pain. He pressed on my stomach and I nearly hit the roof with the pain. He was really concerned by this and sent me in for a CT scan. When the results came back he had me booked in to the Cancer Clinic. The Cancer doctor told me that I had a solid mass on my Pancreas. I ended up having surgery on the 21st December, so ended up spending Christmas in hospital with my family.

I had a Partial Pancreatectomy and Splenectomy, so I had part of my Pancreas and my Spleen removed. Due to the Spleen being removed, I have to take antibiotics daily for the rest of my life. The mass that they found was a Pseudopapillary Neoplasm. This was a solid mass the size of a 50 cent piece. I had to have a drain to remove the excess fluid from surgery from my Pancreas.

The Home Nurses would come around, but only one was any good. Danielle ended up having to do it (eventhough it wasn't her responsibility) and also my Aunty Judy helped after I got the tube caught on the knob of a drawer which caused the tube to move and leak brown fluid.

The drain had to remain in until there was no more that 5ml fluid. I was glad the day that it came out, but the nurse who removed it caused the worst pain. As she was removing the tube, she dug her finger into the wound. It felt as though she grabbed my lest testical and squeezed and twisted at the same time.

I don't know how, but after the surgery, my headaches stopped.

I still had monthly blood tests as my liver function was very high. Thankfully with my recent blood test it has started to slowly come back down.

On the 26th November I saw my local doctor as I had abdominal pain, loss of weight, nausea, abdominal bloating, loss of appetite and fatigue. She requested a CT Abdominal scan.

I had the scan on the 28th November.

I went back to the doctor on the 11th for the results. The results stated that the tail of the Pancreas was slightly altered in appearance when compared to the remaining Pancreas and that i also has a cyst on my Kidney.

I still have to have another CT on the 30th December from my chest to my knees as they have said that if it returns, it will return in my lungs.

I also go back to the Hepatobillary clinic on the 8th January for the results.

I am asking for help because I have worked hard all of my life up until I had the Subarachnoid Haemorrhage. Danielle has been my carer and biggest support. I am worried that if anything happens that the house will be lost due to the mortgage on it.

I purchased our home (hoping to be our forever home) in 2009. Our family at the time was Danielle, Benjamin and myself. Benjamin was diagnosed a Type 1 Diabetic in 2012 and the age of 12. Our daughter, Natalie was a bit of a surprise in 2013.

We don't have any close family and I am also not one who likes to ask for help, but I don't think I have any choice anymore.

I will be eternally greatful for any help and I would also like to say thank you to you for taking the time to read this.
