On Wednesday, September 23, 2026, around 7:00 am my mom was taken by ICE agents right outside my house. She was on her way to work when 3 ICE cars surrounded her. They had no warrant or reason whatsoever. We were notified of what had happened because my grandpa witnessed it all.

My mom is no criminal; she was simply on her way to work. She has lived in the United States for over 18 years and has never done anything wrong. She is the mother of my brothers and me, the wife of my father. (She is currently in a detention center in Otay, California).

From that very morning, my whole family was devastated; it was a very difficult situation we all had to endure. Without the presence of my mother, nothing is the same. My mother is such a hard-working person, such a wonderful mother, an amazing wife. She has the biggest heart, always helping others. Even while being detained, her first words were how my little brother Isaac was, knowing he was getting a cast that morning for his broken hand. That's the kind of person she is; despite going through a difficut time, she is still worried about others. She provides what we need, making sure we never go hungry and that we are at school no matter what.
