Our Story

April 28th was a day filled with mixed emotions. It started like any other day: my husband, Santiago Medrano, left for work. But that day changed everything; he never returned because he was detained by ICE, leaving us his family shattered and facing the agonizing uncertainty of not knowing what comes next.

On that very same day, we received the keys to our home a home for which my husband, Santiago, had worked so long and so hard. Now, I don't know whether to feel happy or what to feel at all. Just days earlier, we had also learned that we were going to become parents once again. Santiago is a deeply devoted and present father, and now his children and I are enduring an incredibly difficult and painful time. We don't know if we will be able to keep our home, as the financial burdens between legal fees and other expenses are overwhelming us. The pillar of our home is gone, but we trust in God that he will return. We are deeply grateful for any support you may wish to offer from me, his wife, and his children: Ashley, Steven, Danny, Emily, and Baby Santiago.

Donations will be used to cover urgent legal immigration costs are we work to help bring him home from the detention center. We truly appreciate any help anybody can provide for him during this difficult time.

Nuestra Historia

El día 28 de abril fue un día con sentimientos encontrados, un día como cualquiera mi esposo Santiago Medrano , salió a trabajar pero este día cambió todo, el no regresó porque fue detenido por ICE, dejándonos a nosotros su familia echa pedazos, con la incertidumbre de no saber qué pasará.

Este mismo día recibimos las llaves de nuestra casa, una casa por la que mi esposo Santiago trabajó tanto y tan duro y ahora no se si estar feliz o que sentir, también días antes supimos que nos convertíamos en padres otra vez. Santiago es un padre muy presente y ahora sus hijos y yo estamos pasando por un momento tan difícil y doloroso, no sabemos si nuestra casa seguirá siendo nuestra ya que los gastos nos desbordan, entre pagos de abogados y otras cosas, pues el pilar de nuestro hogar no está pero confiamos en dios que volverá. Agradecemos cualquier apoyo que gusten darnos yo su esposa y sus hijos Ashley, Steven, Danny, Emily y Santiago Bebe.
