The Wintergreen Freeride Team is raising money to send our athletes to USASA Nationals in Copper Mountain, Colorado.
Throughout the season, the Wintergreen Freeride Team competes in various regional competitions, ranging from USASA-sanctioned events to Wintergreen Resort Series competitions. The Appalachian region holds events in Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania.
Qualifying athletes who are top in their respective regions are invited to USASA Nationals at Copper Mountain, Colorado, at the end of the season. Athletes will compete in rail jams, slopestyle, halfpipe, skier/boardercross, and Giant Slalom and Slalom.
Last season, one of our athletes placed 1st overall at Nationals and secured 2nd place in Slalom, an incredible achievement at the highest level of youth competition. This year, we are once again competing against the best athletes in the country, pushing our team to new heights.
Roughly half of our team will qualify for Nationals. However, not everyone will be able to participate, as it is a costly event to attend. The funds raised will go directly to the Freeride team and coaching costs, helping with lodging, travel, and ensuring that each competitor is fully supported during their competition.
Please consider donating—every contribution brings our athletes closer to their goal of competing in the nation's biggest youth snowboard and ski competition.
