Hello, my name is Evelyn Madden. I'm a 56-year-old single mom of my 15-year-old son, Christian. We are reaching out for help for our dog, Windsor Lee. We adopted Windsor 3.5 years ago after Christian's dad passed away of stage 4 liver cancer. I knew it would be a lot of responsibility, but it was his father's last wish that his boy get a dog. At the time we rescued her, she had been abandoned by three owners, and she was found in a laundromat parking lot, close to death due to heartworms. She is 9 years old, and we need to keep her around for a long time.
When we brought her home, she was still on heartworm medicine. She recovered and has been doing well up until now. She recently has had some health issues, starting with obtaining a hematoma in her ear. I was able to take her to the vet today for help with her ear, and the doctor found that she also had two very large bladder stones that we were told needed immediate surgery.
The cost of both surgeries is estimated around $4,000, which came as a shock. My finances are bleak due to the fact that I'm partially disabled and cannot manage a full-time job, but I do manage to work enough to pay the bills and keep a roof over our heads. So I'm praying we find the help for our dog that we need. The vet informed us to go on this website and told us that there were people willing to help our situation.
So we immediately came home and started posting. Our Windsor is now a part of our family, and we would be lost without her. We saved her life once, and she has saved our lives by becoming a part of our family. Now we are in a situation where we need to save her life again. I'm asking that anyone who has the ability to help us with our situation, it would be such a blessing and greatly appreciated so that we can keep Windsor healthy and alive. They are scheduling our surgery for next Tuesday. So please, anyone that can help, your donations mean the world to us. I have faith that God has opened the doors for us to be able to find the avenues to ask for this help and be assured that every penny that is available would be the blessing that we so desperately need. Thank you for your time, and God bless you..
