Hello, my name is Kristy Pridgen, and I am reaching out with a humble heart to ask for help during one of the most difficult seasons our family has ever faced.
My husband, Wilton Pridgen, has proudly served as a Paratransit Driver for the City of Clarksville for many years. In 2024, he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. Since then, he has undergone multiple surgeries and treatments as we fought together to overcome this disease.
On January 3, 2026, everything changed. Wilton was rushed to the hospital with severe pain. Doctors discovered that the tumor had grown and was blocking his urinary system, causing urine to back up into his kidneys. What seemed like a devastating emergency ultimately h
lped prevent even more serious complications. Emergency procedures were performed, and nephrostomy tubes were placed in both kidneys. That day also became Wilton’s last day of work.
Wilton has always been our family's primary provider. Since his hospitalization in January, we have exhausted our savings and withdrawn funds from our retirement account just to cover basic living expenses. We had only recently begun rebuilding our finances after the loss of my brother. I work
art-time in my salon studio, but due to ongoing pain from a previous head-on collision that resulted in a full hip replacement, I am unable to work full-time.
Our family, friends, my clients and Wilton’s coworkers have been incredibly supportive, and we are deeply grateful for their kindness. However, the financial burden has become overwhelming, and we are now reaching out for additional help.
Every donation, no
atter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. Your support will help us cover essential living expenses while Wilton continues his medical treatments and
ecovery. Most importantly, it will allow us to focus on his healing without the constant worry of how we will meet our family's basic needs.
We continue to pray for strength, healing, and a full recovery. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for any support you can provide, whether through a donation, sharing our story,
or keeping us in your prayers. Your kindness and generosity mean more to us than words can express.
If you would like to support us in other ways, please feel free to contact us at:

With gratitude,
Kristy & Wilton Pridgen ❤️
