My brother, Wilson B. Wilson, is 50 years old and was recently diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). Our family received the news on December 24, 2025, after his bone marrow biopsy confirmed the diagnosis. Wilson was first hospitalized at Osmak (Ospital ng Makati) in the Philippines, but we decided to transfer him to Baguio so he could be closer to family during this difficult time. Since then, he has undergone several blood and platelet transfusions to help stabilize his condition.
Wilson is now preparing for an intensive course of chemotherapy. Each round of treatment lasts seven days, followed by a recovery period, and after each session, another bone marrow biopsy is needed to check the progress. If leukemia cells are still present, he will need to repeat the process. Every chemotherapy session requires four people to be ready to donate blood, as he needs multiple transfusions to support his recovery. The medical costs, including chemo drugs, blood products, and ongoing tests, are overwhelming for our family.
We are hoping to raise funds to help cover Wilson’s medical bills, chemo drugs, blood transfusions, bone marrow biopsies, travel, and daily living expenses. Your kindness means so much to our family, especially during a time like this. We truly appreciate any help you can give. Thank you for standing with us and supporting Wilson’s fight against leukemia.
