Support Wilson Yeung's Spinal Injury Recovery
Donation protected
Last week, our community faced a heartbreaking situation: Wilson Yeung, a beloved instructor at Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu in Pleasanton, suffered a serious spinal injury while training with a student after class. Both Wilson and the other student involved are seasoned grapplers and this injury did not occur because of negligence or malice.
The injury occurred just a few days ago, and doctors have indicated that Wilson faces a very small chance of walking again. However, Wilson is a fighter, and with our community’s support, we believe he has a chance for the best possible outcome.
To assist Wilson and his family during this challenging time, we are launching a GoFundMe campaign. The funds raised will help alleviate any financial burdens they may face while he focuses on rehabilitation.
Wilson is not just an exceptional jiu-jitsu instructor; he is also a caring individual who has significantly contributed to the success and family-oriented culture at Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu. As his wife beautifully describes him: "After 25 years as a San Jose Police officer, he is a wonderful husband and father to our three sons, ages 21, 19, and 15. He is always eager to learn new skills, whether it's fixing things around the house or playing self-taught new songs on the guitar. He is a supportive brother, a loving son to his elderly parents, and a loyal friend."
Wilson deserves the opportunity to enjoy his retirement and thrive after this tragic accident. If you can, please consider donating to this fund. Every contribution will go directly to Wilson and his wife to help them navigate this difficult journey. Together, we can make a difference in his recovery. Thank you for your support!
