Hi Friends and Family of Wilson,

I created this gofundme for Wilson mainly as a way to inform all of you of his situation, and secondly, to provide an outlet for you to support him in his fight against cancer.

 

As you may or may not know, Wilson has been living in Thailand for the past few years. He has been working remotely and living in an apartment in Bangkok. Sandy, Kevin and I had an opportunity to visit him in July of 2019, before COVID, which is where the above photo is taken from.

 

Sadly, he was recently diagnosed with Stage IV nasopharyngeal  cancer. Yes, stage IV. It has spread to his liver and back. He didn't have any symptoms until a few weeks ago, and when he went to see the doctor, they informed him of his situation. He had some tests done and it was just confirmed.

 

The situation isn't an easy one for him. At this point, it looks like chemo treatment is the best course of action. He will be undergoing chemo for the next 5 months in Thailand at a local hospital.

 

Nobody knows how he will respond to the chemo, but the goal is to make him feel better and improve his quality of life.

 

We're working through how he can come back to the US in the new year, when he can qualify for medical insurance - as he does not have any now, and resume treatment. However, he first has to get through the next couple of months.

 

There are several of us who have already committed to helping him out by covering his treatment costs, living costs, etc.
