Support Willy's Road to Recovery

My name is Emily, and I have created this fundraiser to help my brother-in-law Willy and sister Kari. It is nothing short of a miracle that on June 24, 2025 Willy survived a plane crash! Now, if you know Willy, you know that his life long passion has been flying. He soloed his first flight on his 16th birthday before even having his drivers license. We still don't know the details of what happened, but what we do know is that he is still here with us. In the crash he broke his neck at the C2 vertebrae, his left foot was nearly severed, he broke his right femur, tibia, ankle, and heal, has several broken ribs, had deep lacerations and also has a hematoma from hitting his head and suffered several small strokes. To date he's had 4 surgeries and as of July 18, 2025 he has entered in patient rehab at Craig Hospital in Colorado. He is going to have a long road of recovery ahead of him.
