As many of you know—and have so faithfully been part of our prayer warrior team—William “Willy” was diagnosed with AML leukemia right before Christmas. Since sharing the news, so many of you have reached out asking how you can help and offering financial support. At first, we hesitated to set up a crowdfunding fund. However, we have come to realize that by doing so, we may have been standing in the way of what God has placed on your hearts—to help carry us through this season.
As the months have gone on, we are seeing the growing reality of the deep financial impact. The combined mounting medical bills, and the costs of living away from home continue to rise. This week we will be going to Stanford in the Bay Area for Willy to receive a bone marrow transplant (Stem Cell Transplant). We expect to remain at Stanford for approximately four months. During that time, commuting back and forth to work will not be realistic due to the distance from home and the needs of Willy’s treatment and care.
Despite everything he is facing, our son has shown incredible courage, strength, and unwavering faith. We know God is walking beside him—and all of us—every step of this journey, providing comfort, peace, and hope even in the most difficult moments. Willy is currently undergoing extensive treatment and enduring long hospital stays with remarkable bravery.
We are deeply grateful for each of you—for your prayers, your encouragement, and the love you continue to show our family. We truly believe in the power of prayer, community, and faith.
Thank you for standing with Willy, and our family, and for being part of his journey toward healing.
FAITH OVER FEAR!
Jesus says in John 14:27 (NLT) “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
A Prayer for William
Heavenly Father,
We place William in Your loving hands. Surround him with Your peace, strengthen his body, and guide the doctors and nurses caring for him. Bring comfort to his family during this difficult time and remind them they are never alone. We ask for healing, hope, and renewed strength each day. May Your light shine even in this season of trial. In Your holy name we pray, Amen.
