After a week of numerous medical tests, medications, and transfusions, Willy was diagnosed with blood cancer. This news has hit hard and brings with it so many fears and uncertainties. As the doctors continue to learn more about Willy's condition, his treatments, and prognosis, Willy and Laura are standing strong and doing all they can to wrap their heads around this devastating news.

When cancer strikes families, as it has for the Barcenas family, the weight of the world seems to land on their shoulders. Keeping up with medical needs, riding the daily roller coaster of emotions, and considering the financial burden that cancer never fails to deliver can overwhelm even the strongest of families.
