Willow Bean, my precious Booger, is an absolute gem! She's akin to a living teddy bear, adoring being cradled and dozing off anywhere, anytime (she's even started to snore!). Since the day we welcomed her into our home, Willow has been plagued by recurring Urinary Tract Infections. At just 4 ½ months old, she has already endured four UTIs and numerous rounds of antibiotics. Recently, she has also developed urinary incontinence during her slumber.

Upon consultation with our veterinarian, it was recommended that Willow undergo an abdominal ultrasound to investigate her urinary tract. The results revealed a "urachal remnant" attached to her bladder, obstructing complete bladder emptying and causing inflammation (leading to incontinence) and recurrent UTIs.

Ordinarily, this remnant should have naturally absorbed shortly after birth (it's connected to her belly button). However, in Willow's case, it has persisted, wreaking havoc on her well-being. The vet has proposed removing this remnant and conducting a biopsy to rule out any underlying issues.

Given her tender age, the vet advises prompt surgical intervention, also suggesting spaying her simultaneously. The estimated cost for the entire procedure is approximately $2000! Every single penny raised will be allocated towards Willow's surgery and ongoing healthcare.
