Support Willow's NYC Hospital Battle

My nephew, Sam Burt, and his infant daughter, Willow, could really use your support and prayers right now. Willow’s parents, Sam Burt and Nesha Plantier, and my sister, Jennifer Hall, are all with baby Willow in a NYC hospital right now. Willow is in the NICU on a ventilator.

Baby Willow was born with life threatening medical conditions and has been fighting for her life in a New York City hospital, since she was born in July 2024.

Willow was born with two heart conditions: Tetrology of Fallot and a rare condition called single anomalous coronary artery from the pulmonary artery. Willow also had a diaphragmatic hernia and fluid in the lungs. The Diaphragmatic hernia was repaired when she was a few days old.

In January 2025, Willow was finally discharged from the hospital for one week, but contracted RSV, and then pneumonia. Her lungs filled up with fluid, which are still very wet, so she's having an extremely hard time recovering. Her doctors expect it will take a month or more for her health to return.

The past 6 months has taken a toll on their family emotionally and financially. My sister, Jennifer Hall, is the main source of income in the household. They all live together in upstate New York, but formerly lived in Brandon, Vermont for many years. 

Because of baby Willow’s serious health concerns, both of her parents have remained with her, for the last 6 months, in NYC, far away from their home and unable to work full time, due to supporting their infant daughter during her medical care. At this time we are asking for your support, or even a dollar to spare, to help make it even a little easier on this family during this difficult time.

If you know my sister and her children, you are aware of how proud and independent they are and they never ask for anyone’s help. So I am asking in their place.
