Daniel and Carly’s sweet cat, Willow, is only a year old—but she’s already facing a frightening and unexpected medical battle. A few days ago, Willow suddenly stopped acting like herself. She became extremely lethargic, wasn’t eating or playing, and spent most of her time sleeping. Knowing something was seriously wrong, they rushed her to the emergency vet. Willow was severely anemic, had an elevated heart rate, and was having difficulty breathing. She required immediate, life-saving care—including a blood transfusion and over 48 hours in an oxygen cage. Despite extensive testing at the ER, the cause of her anemia is still unknown. After two long days, Willow came home—but her fight isn’t over. She needs ongoing care with additional testing, medication, and continued follow-up visits every couple of days to try and determine what caused this and how to treat it.
So far, the costs have been overwhelming. But Willow isn’t just a pet—she’s family. She was adopted through Four Paws One Heart rescue and has brought so much joy into Daniel and Carly’s home. She’s playful, energetic, and full of personality. She also has a dog sister, Millie, who adores her. Together, they are truly their “babies,” loved and spoiled in every way possible.
Right now, Daniel and Carly are focused on one thing: getting Willow healthy again and finding answers. If you’re able to help in any way—whether through a donation or simply sharing this page—it would mean the world to them. Every contribution goes directly toward Willow’s emergency care, ongoing testing, and recovery. Thank you for supporting Willow and helping bring her back to her happy, playful self.
