Folklore Farms has been facing some unexpected challenges recently.

Our beautiful chocolate runner duck, Willow, has developed a serious reproductive condition. While she is currently stable and responding well to medication, she has already required three veterinary visits for exams, diagnostics, and imaging. Depending on how she progresses, she may ultimately need a surgical spay to resolve the issue.

Our sweet blue runner duck, Marjorie, has also been experiencing health concerns. She recently developed irregular breathing and required a veterinary exam, bloodwork, and X-rays. Her imaging revealed abnormalities within her chest cavity, and she is currently being treated for a possible respiratory infection while we await her bloodwork results.

I work multiple jobs and do everything I can to save for my animals’ care, but these medical emergencies were unexpected, and avian veterinary diagnostics and treatment are incredibly expensive. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward Willow and Marjorie’s ongoing veterinary care.
