Hi, my name is Willow and I recently lost my beloved cat, my soul companion of 11 years — Sweet Pea. She wasn’t just a pet. She was my best friend. My comfort through every storm — from heartbreak to homelessness, trauma to rebuilding. She moved with me, waited patiently through every transition, and curled up beside me when nothing else in the world felt safe. She was an angel sent from god. On 7/15/2025, everything changed. She began yowling in distress, her back legs gave out, and I rushed her to the emergency vet. I was terrified. I waited in a seperate room while they ran labs (due to facility rules), and an hour later, they told me she was critically anemic — and fading fast. There wasn’t enough time for a blood transfusion. I barely had one minute with her before she passed. Even though the vet couldn’t save her, I was left with the emergency medical bill — in the middle of already struggling with recent trauma, financial instability, and trying to start over. Losing her and facing this unexpected financial burden all at once has been devastating. If you feel moved to help, any contribution — big or small — would help cover her hospital bill. She was the kind of cat who made silly beep-meows when I called her nicknames. She always knew when I was sad and would rest her tiny fluffy head against me to comfort me — even when she was the one in pain. She survived cancer once. She fought through dental disease.
