Support Willie Rose's Final Journey

Note: Monday, June 9, 2025 I will be ending the GoFundMe 5:00 pm and requesting the funds to have Willie transported to Southern Oaks Funeral Home, after that date if you would like to donate towards his funeral you may call or stop by Southern Oaks Funeral Home. Amber wants him home before Father's Day.

I'm Kimberly Rose, Willie Rose's ex-wife. William E. Rose and I have a daughter together, Amber (Rose) Rader. Willie was 59 years old, worked for Epperson Electric then has been self-employed for over 25 years, serving the Somerset, KY area with Willie's Heating & Air. He has had a history of heart problems and other health issues for years. In late May 2025, Willie fell off a ladder and hit his head while working. Apparently, he thought he was alright, went home, and laid down. I'm not sure how long he stayed at home until he was taken to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital ICU. He had shoulder injury, running a fever, became septic that attached to his stents to his heart. After a week in ICU, he was transferred to UK hospital in the cardiac unit and, the septic took over his body and he passed away on Tuesday, June 3, 2025.

He did not have a life insurance policy and many of his friends and customers may not of known he was on part disability and was limited in being able to work. Our daughter Amber Rader, being his child, was required to have him brought back to Somerset to lay him to rest. This is costly; nobody knows until it happens to them. The funeral home charges by mile to pick up and transport a body. The bill is at least $200.00 and then a small funeral $2300.00. Please consider contributing to the cost of bringing him home to his hometown for his final resting place. Anything is truly and sincerely appreciated.
