My father, Willie Milton, a US veteran and retired firefighter for the city of Atlanta, has recently suffered a stroke on Mar. 27th, 2026. The stroke left him partially paralyzed. He is also a cancer survivor and is now battling stomach cancer.

My mother, Vallarie Milton, a Cobb County school teacher and breast cancer survivor, also has advanced glaucoma and is now visually impaired while caring for my father.

Insurance will not cover the special needs chair, making the home wheelchair accessible, or my mother's smart glasses for the visually impaired. The money will be used to get all of these things.
