My brother Nate, a devoted husband, father, and Deputy with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, is facing the unimaginable after losing his wife, Sarah, the mother of their four young daughters, following a sudden pregnancy-related medical emergency.
On Saturday, April 18, Nate found Sarah unconscious and intermittently responsive at home. He called 911, and she was rushed to the hospital, where doctors believe she suffered severe complications related to preeclampsia, a dangerous condition involving high blood pressure that can develop quickly and without warning.
An emergency C-section was performed, and by the grace of God, their daughter Wynnie was delivered safely and is healthy.
Despite the medical team’s efforts, Sarah’s condition worsened, suspected to be the result of catastrophic internal bleeding and a loss of oxygen to her brain. She passed away the following day, just weeks before their 11th wedding anniversary in May.
Nate is now raising four young girls, including a newborn, without their momma, while also grieving the unexpected loss of his wife, best friend, and life partner.
Our family has set up a GoFundMe to help support Nate and the girls—not only with medical and funeral expenses, but also with the ongoing costs of raising four young daughters, including childcare and daily needs.
If you’re able to help, whether through a donation or by sharing, it would mean the world to us. More than anything, we ask for your prayers for our family during this incredibly difficult time.
