We are raising money to get William his first Freedom Trax!! We were originally working towards getting him the action track chair, but we’ve found this new divide that is more affordable and much easier to travel with! Our goal is now $7000 instead of the original $20,000. William became paralyzed unexpectedly in 2017 at the young age of 19 due to a spinal cavernoma. Cavernomas are formed by clusters of tiny blood vessels with abnormally thin and weak walls. These vessels can leak blood, causing inflammation which pressed against his spine, resulting in a T-7 spinal cord injury. Insurance does not cover this type of mobility aid, so we are trying to raise and save the money with the help of our incredible friends and family!
The FREEDOM TRAX device attaches to William’s everyday wheelchair, making use extremely easy! It also breaks down into parts meaning it can travel very well. It’s compact and convenient! With this technology, William will be able to access a wider range of environments than traditional wheelchairs, allowing him to participate in outdoor activities and overcome obstacles. The Freedom Trax can navigate over sand, mud, snow, and uneven terrain without any assistance. This would essentially open up a whole new world of accessibility for him! Please consider a donation, any amount helps! We appreciate everyone who is willing to support him! Thank you so much! God Bless!
