Support William's Journey to Mobility

Hi my name is William I'm starting this GoFundMe page because I need help with some things that my insurance will not cover in my adventure to getting well, December 22nd 2022 I woke up where I lived at the retirement center showered got ready to go to my doctor's appointment went out to get my ride from the driver of our facility , went out to the car got in the passenger seat about halfway in all of a sudden I could not get my other leg or anything in the car, got back to my room with my Walker was standing next to my bed and try to turn around to sit down on the bed all the strength in my legs just went and I went down in the heap! Call the ambulance they took me to the emergency room 3 hours later they told me I had pneumonia, sepsis, and kidney failure in my right kidney all at one time spend 20 days in intensive care got dialysis seven times and it's now been a year and a half since I've walked in and out of the hospital at least three times and three different nursing homes I'm really tired of doing this I really need help I want to go back home I don't want to spend the rest of my life in a nursing home, and could barely even stand up at one time! Still waiting to walk I'm bedridden I'm 68 years old I played Sports and worked all my life and in one day I haven't walked since trying to get to where I can transfer in and out of a wheelchair then I can go back home but there's always some complication, the doctor just told me that there's going to be things that I'm going to need in my place that are not covered by Medicare insurance wise such as a Hoyer lift, transfer seat from wheelchair and toilet to shower and many co-pays to doctors appointments and specialists and therapy! I really would like some people my friends have anybody that would care to help me get through this cause I really would like to walk again, this really is hard on me mentally and physically I try and have a bright out look at everything but I just can't imagine not walking, I would understand if it was a car accident and severe damage to my spine or something like that but this is just an infection that caused me to have sepsis that affected my nerves it's very tough on me!! Anything anybody can do to help me reach my goal or close to it at least getting the medical equipment that I need and I also am going to trying to purchase a new adjustable bed instead of a regular bed it's been a year and a half since I have walked tearing me apart not being able to do that normally,Thank you very much I hope you can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!
