Our dear friends, Russ and Jaylene, are walking through every parent’s worst nightmare. While their family was in E. Washington over Labor Day weekend, their son William suffered a sudden and severe medical emergency. His condition was so critical that he had to be airlifted to Harborview Hospital in Seattle for immediate, life-saving care.

In an instant, Russ and Jaylene went from enjoying time with family to standing beside William in the hospital, surrounded by uncertainty, fear, and urgent medical decisions. No family can ever be prepared for something like this, and no parent should have to carry the weight of their child’s recovery while also worrying about how to pay for the care he needs.

Thankfully, William is now stable and receiving around-the-clock care from an incredible medical team. He is showing strength, but his recovery will be long and uncertain. He is expected to need intensive medical care, a prolonged hospital stay, rehabilitation, and physical therapy as he begins the difficult road ahead.

This GoFundMe was created to help lift some of the financial burden from Russ and Jaylene so they can focus on what matters most: being present with William, supporting his healing, and helping him through each step of recovery.

Funds raised will go directly to Russ and Jaylene and will be used only to support William’s recovery, including:

• Emergency medical airlift costs

• Deductibles and out-of-pocket hospital expenses

• Travel, lodging, meals, and daily expenses while the family stays near the hospital

• Ongoing rehabilitation, therapy, and recovery-related care after discharge
