I’ve been running my small business, Protec All Pest Specialists, for over 10 years, proudly serving Southern California. I never thought I’d be in a position to ask for help, but today I am.

I have a serious condition called Cushing’s disease, caused by a tumor that floods my body with toxic levels of cortisol. It's disabled me and made it extremely hard to work. After years of suffering and denial from insurance companies, I’ve finally found a health plan that will cover the brain surgery I need at MD Anderson Cancer Center — one of the best hospitals in the country for this condition.

Why I’m Asking for Help

The insurance payments must be made every two weeks by debit card. The group helping reimburse me (Nord) only pays by check — and they take around a month or more to issue each reimbursement. That delay puts me at risk of missing payments and losing coverage.

I need to raise $11,000 to cover one full year of insurance premiums. This will give me the time to:

Recover properly without losing coverage

And return to work when I’m healed
