Support William's Battle with Pancreatitis

Donation protected
  • My husband, William Thomas, has a severe case of pancreatitis. This has been developing for over two years. Anyone who knows us knows how often and how long he has been in the hospital. Chronic pancreatitis develops slowly and worsens over time, causing recurring bouts of inflammation that lead to permanent damage to the pancreas, such as scarring of pancreatic tissue. Chronic pancreatitis is NOT curable.

  • The goal is to completely remove the tumors/cysts and any areas where potential cancer cells could develop. After removing the organs, the surgeon reconnects the pancreas, bile duct, and small intestine to restore digestive function.
  • The Whipple procedure can take 4 to 12 hours, and patients usually stay in the hospital for weeks followed by months of recovery time at home or in outpatient centers. It can take time for the digestive system to start working again. Permanent change in their diet to reduce symptoms like diarrhea, gas, and stomach pain is necessary. The procedure also carries a high risk of complications, including pain and infection, which may last for months, years or a lifetime.

  • William is an extremely driven and hardworking man. His passion for health, fitness, success, and family are being hindered by his sickness. We just got married 9 months ago and I honestly was concerned about him having a flare-up during our wedding weekend. The success that William has been working for his whole life is getting taken away from him because he is not capable of working as he used to.

  • His medical bills are outrageous.
Over $100,000 this past month
I know that we are not alone in the medical and health battles. My heart goes out to everyone and their loved ones that are dealing with a serious illness or any illness at all.

  • We are optimistic. There are still a lot of questions and things to learn and understand every single day.

We appreciate everyone for taking the time to read this. Anything to help us with this journey would be a blessing. Funds will be used to help get William the surgeries that he needs to live the most normal life that he may possibly be able to live.
