Support William's Battle with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome

My 9 year old son William, after five years of suffering, 14 hospitalizations and 18 emergency rooms visits since the age of 3, he was finally diagnosed with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome December 5, 2023. CVS is a rare disease that only 3 out of 100,000 children are diagnosed with a year in the US. It is a neurological brain gut disorder with relation to migraines. When his body becomes stressed due to exertion, anxiety or illness he has a CVS episode which causes excessive and unstoppable vomiting that are so violent and cause detrimental dehydration he must be hospitalized to stabilize his physical condition. His episodes are usually triggered by illness. He has never once recovered at home from any kind of infection from ear infection to the flu. There is no drink Gatorade, take some oral meds to get better for him, he HAS to be put on fluids, admitted to the hospital and remain until he is fully and completely recovered. William also became diagnosed with general anxiety, separation anxiety and acute depression. William also requires a wheelchair for long outings and tired days. Due to all the factors of his medical conditions he can no longer attend school in person and requires homecare. It has been a year since he started home care and his overall wellbeing has improved, though it has become evident for his physical and mental health he requires this lifestyle change and will continue home care for the foreseeable future. It’s been 8 months since I applied for disability for him and his case has yet to even be look at. I am his mother, fulltime care giver and homeschool teacher. I cannot cover our expenses, mainly rent, without assistance. I had a previous had this GoFundMe to get us through January, but as circumstances show I was too hopeful that disability would actually get back to us by then. I have edited this GoFundMe and will keep it open until William, God willing, is approved for disability and the financial burden is lifted.
