Support William Sandstrom's Cancer Battle

William Sandstrom, 63, is my boyfriend’s father who’s life got turned upside down unexpectedly. From what he thought was a sore throat unfortunately turned into one’s worst medical nightmare. William was diagnosed with Stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma of the neck. After undergoing one of the most aggressive chemotherapy treatments, he was feeling better and thought it was maybe the end of this, only to be told he’ll need more chemotherapy and radiation on top. Unfortunately, the radiation is 5 times a week and a bit far from home. His family has had to take off from work to help support and care for William. Unfortunately, they are only provided with a handful of sick days.

When things started looking brighter again, William lost the ability to swallow and speak within a short few days resulting in hospitalization to insert a feeding tube in him in NYC (while he lives in NJ). This hospitalization unfortunately resulted in another surgery, unable to eat on his own. The costs of transportation, medical bills, deductibles, and inability for family to work can cause havoc in this economy.

William has always been a part of his community. From attending events that raise money and food for different organizations through Jeep events to working as an EMT for 25 years, even risking his life during peak COVID, being the first ones in contact with these patients transporting them to hospitals. He’s always helped others in need and now it’s time to help him out. Please consider donating to help pay for bills, transportation and treatments for William.
