I am William King, on 3/13/25 we had a major loss with a wildfire that got out of control that started in our woods and quickly spread to my workshop and garage. I fought the fire with my garden hose as best as I could and saved the house though we do have some siding damage. Thank the good Lord for helping me save the house. I received some smoke inhalation and first degree burns fighting it but I will be ok. My wife, pups and horses are ok and thats what truly matters. It could of been much worse as my wife is disabled and this happened to of happened on my day off from work. I truly would rather not think about how this would of turned out if I was not here when it happened but I can't get that thought out of my head. The workshop and garage are a total loss. I managed to save few things out of the garage. The forest Ranger that was here during the fire helping to stop it in the woods and the fire Marshal that came after so far are deeming it an unexplained forest fire, possibly from a reflection from glass or a mirror or an ember that carried on the wind from possibly a neighbor burning something. The workshop, all of my tools and everything in it is a total loss. Many things can never be replaced. All of my supplies, my forge, my 200 year old and 100 year old anvils, my kiln, casting sand and frames, power saws, wood lathe, metal lathe, drum sander, table sander, hand sanders, grinders, sharpening sanders, taps and dies, hand tools, compressor, tool benches, everything gone. Literally about 400 things I have used and need destroyed. All the things I need to repair things in and around our home and for my hobby work. Sadly we have found that our insurance will only cover one of the buildings but not both of them and will not replace all of my tools and supplies. I dislike having to put out a Gofundme but I see no other choice as I have always managed getting by on my own and the people that know me know I never ask for anything for myself and am more into helping others in need.
