It is difficult for me to ask for help.
However, I have been challenged by friends to be vulnerable and let folks know of our situation.
My husband, William Anthony Buford, has always been a hardworking man until he was forced to retire due to health issues with walking. On November 3, 2023, he could not walk or drive. He has had a total of seven surgeries, which have taken a toll on his body. He has been diagnosed with liver cancer, a-fib, diabetes, and has had a stroke and amputations below both knees. Unfortunately, I have had to stop working to be Billy's caretaker at home. Our bills are piling up, and his SS check is not enough to live on, nor provide us with a reliable car.
Billy is a man of great faith. His last job before retirement was mentoring disadvantaged teenagers through Memphis Athletic Ministries. He used his glory days of playing on the 1973 Memphis State basketball team as a platform for sharing the gospel with many.
Thank you for considering a donation of any amount. We appreciate anything you can do!!!
